Valley P&Z to hear application for new phase tonight
The Meadows at Blackhawk, the latest phase for the 1,551-acre Blackhawk community, is slated to go before the Valley County Planning and Zoning Commission tonight.
A hearing will be held during the commissioners' meeting starting at 6 p.m. tonight at the Valley County Courthouse in Cascade.
The McCall-based development company, Blackhawk Partners LLC, is behind both The Meadows at Blackhawk and the community's current phase, Blackhawk on the River.
The Meadows will feature a total of 162 home sites released in three phases, with an average lot size of just under one acre, according to a news release from the developer.
The conservation-oriented development principles established with Blackhawk on the River will be apparent in the new phase, the release said. A high ratio of land will be set aside as undeveloped open space, protecting the Payette River corridor that the Blackhawk community borders.
The Meadows will also feature a mixed-use area designated for a new equestrian center. Currently, the Blackhawk Equestrian Center operates from a temporary 40acre site within the Blackhawk community, complete with barns, an equestrian director, outdoor riding arena and horse-only trails.
"With Blackhawk on the River, we've proven our commitment to creating a one-of-a-kind community that protects and exemplifies everything the McCall area has to offer," said Rick Luna, CFO at Blackhawk Partners LLC.
"We've established McCall's first-ever permanently protected wildlife preserve, and we've partnered with some of the best builders, architects and engineers in the area," Luna said.
"At Blackhawk on the River, our sales have remained strong and custom homes, as well as our River Lodge, are now underway," he said." The Meadows will be developed with the same overall vision for quality and environmental preservation."
Blackhawk Partners LLC is currently working with the Valley Adams Regional Housing Authority to satisfy Valley County's community housing requirements, the release said.
