The 27-hole city-owned course is in the best shape it has been in for opening day in years Golf Pro Allan Morrison said.
"The greens are great; the fairways are great; the property is very healthy," Morrison said. "We are just waiting for the last few places to dry out so we can get mowers everywhere."
Morrison and other professional staff members Ron Weber and Ray Center will participate in a PGA Growth of the Game program.
On May 26-27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the professional staff will offer free 15-minute lessons to the public. All levels of players are welcome to this event.
The course's rates will remain the same as last year. For more information about the upcoming events, contact Morrison at the (610) 734-7903.
